Taking off soon

So I made it with time to spare. Got food. Did my face (as much as I do which admittedly isn’t much) and am charging my devices. It’s all good.

For those doubters I realized I needed to show one more photo — of the packed bag. I flew through security with it. I tossed it into the overhead bin. It looks pretty compact and is under 20 lbs (or this freakishly weak person wouldn’t be able to heft it). One of my coats is even in there.

(Feet included to help with scale. Speaking of feet I might add it’s fortunate mine are relatively small — Luca’s size 12.5s would basically take over the bag. I fit two tiny pairs in the bottom section although I will always have to wear the boots when I fly. And I stand corrected on an earlier blog. This appears to be a 46L bag. Fits a fair amount. But as my son’s girlfriend pointed out, there isn’t any room for souvenirs!)

Yes my friends, the emerging moral of my blogs is — don’t expect to see me in a panoply of outfits and don’t expect any gifts upon my return!

Given that the trip is about experiences not purchases, it all makes sense. A worthy thought from the city of brotherly love.

Next stop, Glasgow and then Isle of Skye!
